Looking for a fun, low-impact way to stay active, improve your health and connect with others in your community?

We’re excited to introduce the Heart Foundation Aqua Walking Program at Knox Leisureworks.

Aqua Walking combines the benefits of walking with the support of the water, making it a fantastic activity for people of all ages and fitness levels. Whether you’re looking to improve your physical wellbeing, return to exercise after injury, manage a health condition or simply meet new people, Aqua Walking offers a welcoming and supportive environment.

What is Aqua Walking?

Aqua Walking involves walking through chest-deep water at your own pace. The water supports your body and reduces impact on your joints while still providing resistance to help build strength, improve balance and increase fitness.

Benefits of Aqua Walking include:

  • Improved cardiovascular fitness
  • Increased strength and mobility
  • Reduced stress on joints and muscles
  • Better balance and coordination
  • Opportunities to meet new people and stay socially connected
